ListingMap

A browser extension for house-hunting

See what's nearby. Shortlist as you browse.

ListingMap adds what's-nearby to any property listing, and to the results page before you even click in. Tap a category like gym, train or supermarket for the nearest places with real travel times. Hide the homes you've ruled out so they stay gone, and check floor size and floorplans without opening a single one.

Live, on a Rightmove listing.

A listing tells you everything about the house and nothing about the life around it. So you copy the address into Google Maps, check the commute, check the gym, check how far your friends are, then go back to the listing. Again, for the next one, and the one after that.

ListingMap does that in place, on the listing and on the results page. Save the spots that matter once and every home you look at shows up against them. Hide the ones that aren't right and they stay hidden, so you're only ever looking at homes still in the running.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open any listing

Browse Rightmove, Zillow, Idealista or any supported site as you normally would. A small button appears on the page.

  2. 2

    Tap a category

Tap gym, supermarket, train, bus, school, café or park and the nearest places appear around the home with travel times. No list-building, no setup.

  3. 3

    Read the route

Tap any place to see the real route and time by car, public transport, walking or cycling. No leaving the listing.

Shortlist without opening a single listing

  1. 1

    Nearby, from the card

Every result on the page gets its own Nearby button. Tap it to see what's around that home without leaving the results page.

  2. 2

    Hide what's not for you

Rule a home out and hide it. It stays gone every time you come back, with a panel to review and restore anything you've hidden.

  3. 3

    See size before you click

Floor area shows right on the card, and the floorplan opens straight away wherever the portal provides one.

Search results with a Nearby and Hide button on each property card, and the floor area shown next to the beds and baths

Questions

Which property sites does it work on?
Rightmove and Zoopla in the UK, Zillow, Realtor.com and Redfin in the US, Realtor.ca in Canada, plus Idealista, Funda, SeLoger, Immobiliare, ImmoScout24, Daft, realestate.com.au and Domain across Europe and Australia.
Does it cost anything?
No. It's free to use, with nothing to set up. If you'd like to support the project there's an optional one-off plan on the pricing page, but you don't need it.
Do you track my browsing?
No. The extension only reads the location already on the page you're viewing, a listing or a results page, to place homes on the map. It never reads or sends your browsing history. Your saved places and hidden homes stay on your device.
How are travel times calculated?
By car, public transport, walking and cycling, using Google Directions, the same routing you would get from Google Maps, shown right next to the listing.
What happens to homes I hide?
They stay out of the results page every time you come back. Open the review panel to see everything you've hidden and restore any of them.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use it without signing in. Signing in only keeps your lists in sync across devices.
